Introduction

My name is Hector Padron and I have been living in Palm Beach county for 15 years since I arrived from Cuba my motherland where I worked as radio technician for different government enterprises for 25 years and was also a ham with the call sign CM2HB and very active on all bands and all modes using an old Drake TR4C. I actually keep the same job in this country mostly related with the communications and computers field. I am the control operator of the following UHF repeaters within the county:

AD4C 444.325 PL 179 at Mangonia Park

N4LGG 444.250 PL 179 at Boynton beach

N4LGG 444.950 PL 123 at West Palm beach

All these repeaters are bilingual, Spanish and English but everybody is welcome to use them.

 They remain open 24/7 to serve the hams community in Palm Beach county, South East FL.

 After working hours you will find me very active on 40 and 20 in the afternoons and evenings on SSB and CW. I do like ragchewing with my friends about technical matters like ESSB or antennas, propagation, etc, also I do DX'ing looking for new countries. My station is Icom IC-756Pro3 with Alinco 35A power supply, Heil PR-40 and W2IHY boxes, the amp is a Heathkit SB-220 black painted, antennas are bazookas for 40 and 20M and at my new car Spectra 5 I have an Icom IC-208H for 2M and 70 cm bands.

As part of my hobby I am also the QSL manager for the following Cuban stations: CO7EH, CO8OY, CO8DLF and CO8ESE. If you send your QSL for them please don’t forget to include your self-addressed stamped envelope.
